Birthday Celebrations
P.A.C.E. is proud to say that we strive to be a healthy school. P.A.C.E. administration will
reserve one day each month to celebrate the students who have had a birthday within that
month. Students will gather in the cafeteria with other students in their grade-level. The
date of the celebration is posted on the school’s master calendar. Cupcakes and other treats
may not be brought in for class celebrations.
Please check your child's binder daily!

Attendance
Arrival
The building opens at 7:20. Students in K-4 must report to the gym. Students in grades 5-8 must report to the cafeteria. At 7:45, elementary students will be picked up by their classroom teachers.
Parents will not be permitted in the building after 8:00 without a scheduled appointment or volunteer pass.
Dismissal
Middle school students are dismissed at 2:25.
Elementary school students are dismissed at 3:25.
All students must be signed up for one of the following dismissal options:
Curbside (south/west), Bus, Transportation Service, Kids University, Athletics, Champions
Decals are required for curbside. If there is a change in your pick-up, the main office must be contacted by 10:00 a.m.
Students who are not picked up on time will be considered Uncollected Students. There will be a $1 per minute charge after 3:45, or 2:15 on early release days. Students with unpaid fees will not be permitted to participate in afterschool activities, field trips, dress down days, or athletic programs.

June Box
Please do not allow students to bring the following items to school:
- Toys, trading cards, or any other objects that will disrupt the learning environment
If a student chooses to bring these items to school, they will be confiscated by the teacher & placed into the June Box. Items that land in the June Box will be kept there until the last week of school in June unless picked up by a parent in room 134.
Please do not allow students to bring in any electronics.
Cell Phones
Please do not allow for cell phones to be brought to class. They are a disruption to the learning environment & at risk for theft. In the event that there is an emergency & you need to contact your child during school hours please call the PACE Academy front desk.
Having any type of cell phone, working or not, will result in the consequences per the PACE Academy handbook.
Behavior Management
Classroom Clip Chart
-Start on green daily (great day - $5)
-Clip down – yellow (fair day - $1), red (stop, think, and focus - demerit)
-Clip up – blue (powerful day - +$1), purple (the enlightened one - $10)
-Warrior Bucks will be distributed at the end of each week for use at the school store.
Behavior Logs – Monthly calendar
-Will be colored by student daily
-Needs to be signed by parents daily
Ways to Clip Up:

Reasons for Clipping Down:
•Missing homework •Talking/classroom disruption •Beverages/food/gum •Not following directions •Inappropriate language •Head down/sleeping •Lunchroom issues |
Demerits
Demerits – Some behaviors result in immediate demerits in addition to moving the clip.
Hitting, yelling, cursing, loitering, horse play, dishonesty, vandalism
Students who receive multiple demerits will see their consequence on the grade level consequence chart
